Lough Leane is the largest of the three lakes of Killarney and is the lake you can see from The Brehon Hotel. Ross Island is to your left when you look out at the front of the hotel and the famed Innisfallen Island is in front. Innisfallen was home to a Monastery in the Middle Ages and was known as a centre of Scholarship.
Ross Castle sits on Ross Island, an island that is rich in copper.
Lough Leanne is the largest body of freshwater in the region and is home to a diverse range of wildlife.
